To safeguard traditional gold industry of Thrissur for a long run, special measures and mechanisms were required and hence Thrissur Jewellery Council (TJC), has been incorporated on December 2021 as a Sec. 8 Company under the guidelines of MSME, Govt. of India and the District Industries Centre (DIC), Kerala. The main objects of Thrissur Jewellery Council are to provide a Common Facility Centre (CFC) for rejuvenate and preserve the traditional gold industry in Thrissur Region by providing various services at affordable rate to the gold industrialists under one roof.

Objectives of Thrissur Jewellery Council

The Common Facility Centre of Thrissur Jewellery Council provides guidance, support and development activities in the area of “gold manufacturing, trading, hallmarking, quality development, automation of gold industry, establishment and development of jewellery design centres, establishment and development of testing and training centres, improving product line, improving productivity & capacity utilisation of the cluster, enhancement of living condition & skills of the workers”. It is proposed to implement the latest modern machinery, which is highly beneficial to the jewellery industry. All the members in gold industry will have direct access to and use of the machinery. No matter how big or small your company is or where you are in the value chain, Thrissur Jewellery Council offers you sustainable growth.
